Connecting Blaze to your X (formerly Twitter) account allows for the automatic creation and posting of content.
In this article, we will cover how to connect Blaze to your X profile.
Only Blaze workspace admins have the ability to connect accounts to Blaze.
Connect X (formerly Twitter) to Blaze
Access Integrations
Click Integrations located in the sidebar.
Locate the X integration and click it to start the connection process.
Confirm changes to Content Plan
Blaze will prompt you with a message on how it will modify your content plan to create content for X. Review the text, then click Add Integration to proceed.
Now click Go to X/Twitter to begin the connection process.
Review Permissions and Sign In
A popup window will appear showing all of the permissions that Blaze needs access too in order for the integration to work. Review them then click Sign-In
Sign in with your Credentials
Add your credentials and then click next.
In some cases, when you try to connect Blaze to X through 'Login with Google', the OAuth window may open and then redirect you to the X home screen without completing the connection.
If that happens, follow these steps to finish connecting:
Close the pop-up window.
Go to https://x.com/login and make sure you’re logged into the X account you want to connect.
Return to Blaze → Settings → Integrations and click Connect again.
The connection should now complete successfully and show as Connected in Blaze.
If you still are redirected to the X Home Screen, login with a username and password instead of 'Login with Google' or similar auth platforms.
💡 Tip: If you use multiple X accounts or have strict browser privacy settings, try connecting in a private/incognito window.
Confirm Connection in Blaze
Now you will be asked to select your X account on Blaze. Make your selection and then click Connect 1 Account.
Blaze returns a message letting you know that all X/Twitter content will automatically post live on your newly connected X account. Click Confirm to dismiss this message.
You should be taken back the integration page. X should be now located in the "In your Content Plan" section with a green icon next to it. This indicates that its connected correctly.
Checking your Content Plan
Select Content Plan from the side bar. Then click Adjust Defaults then Channels. Scroll down to the X platform. Enable it if not enabled. Click Save as Default to confirm your changes.
Social Media Posts and Cross Posting
As long as X posts are listed in your Content Plan, they will automatically get created on your content calendar.
Additionally Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and other posts can also be cross posted to X by simply enabling the switch in the post preview window.
Caption Length Limitation
As you are cross posting content to X you may see the platform icon with a yellow bubble above it. This indicates the existing post's caption exceeds the character limit of X.
Simply shorten the caption to be 280 characters and then you will be able to turn on Crossposting to X.
