Changing Your Content Plan

Learn how to review and update your Content Plan to ensure the content Autopilot creates for you is aligned with your business.

Content Plan (formerly Brand Plan) - What is it?

Autopilot generates a Content Plan to outline the content it will generate for you every week. Each weeks' Content Plan contains information outlining content types, platforms, and quantity.

Accessing your Content Plan

To access your content plan, select the Content Plan tool in the sidebar.

Understanding Your Plans

Once you open your Content Plan tool you will see three different Plans. Each plan has the date range listed. This is range represents when all generated content will be published.

The top row (Next Week) is the upcoming weeks plan.

  • Has the "Planned" status

  • A date when all content will be generated

  • A "Edit Topics" button to review and edit topics.

The middle row (Current Week) represents the current week's plan.

  • Has the "Publishing" status

  • A date when the content was generated,

  • Also has a link to see the topics.

  • A "See Content" button to jump that week on the calendar to see your content.

The bottom row lets you see the previous weeks plan.

  • Has the "Published" status

  • A "View Topics" Button

Next Week's Plan

You can change the Post Schedule by clicking Edit. Here you can adjust the post frequency, which days you want to post content, and when you want to review your next weeks plan.

Once you have reviewed and adjusted your Schedule Settings. Save your changes by clicking the Save Changes button.

Clicking Edit Topics will take you a page that will let you review and edit the content plan for next week.

Here you can review and adjust the amount of posts for each platform as well as the topics that Autopilot will use when generating your content.

Simply use the + and - buttons next to each of the categories to adjust the post quantity.

  • Click "+ Add Topic" if you want to add more topics.

  • Click an existing topic to edit it.

  • Hovering over a topic will bring up the trashcan icon. Use this button to delete topics.

Scroll down to review and adjust the amount of Blogs and E-mails to be authored that week as well.

Similarly to the Social Media content, use the + and - buttons next to each of the categories to adjust the post quantity.

  • Click + Add Topic if you want to add more topics.

  • Click an existing topic to edit it.

  • Hovering over a topic will bring up the trashcan button. Use this button to delete topics.

Current Weeks Plan

Clicking "View Topics" in the Content Generated column will let you see the plan that Autoplilot used to generate content for your current week.

Since the content for this plan has already been generated and scheduled, any edits or adjustments to the content must be made using the calendar or directly in each of the posts.

Previous Weeks Plans

This section allows you to review the plan that Autopilot used to generate all of the content for that specific week. Mainly for historical references.
