How to Create a YouTube Video Script

Learn how to use the YouTube Script wizard to generate a script that's ready to shoot in just a few minutes!

Locate and Start the Wizard

  • From the home page click Create New

  • Select the Video filter

  • Select the YouTube filter

  • Locate and start the YouTube Script wizard

    You can also use the search bar

Outline Your Video Idea

  • While being as descriptive as possible, type in your video idea including as much detail as possible. The more information you provide, the better your video script will be.

  • Click Have Blaze autofill the rest to proceed.

Review and Edit the rest of the wizard

Blaze will autofill out the rest of the wizard. Review its choices, editing where needed.

  • Name of your document

  • Project you want your script created inside of

  • Objective of the video

  • Target audience

  • Length

  • Brand Voice (or up to three tones)

  • Source Material

Further Refinement

Use More ways to Configure to:

  • Add promotional materials (promo code: Welcome10)

  • Call to action ("like and subscribe...")

  • Avoid works (words you would like blaze to avoid using when generating your content.

  • Click Generate Video Titles to proceed.

Review, Edit, Refine Video Titles

Blaze will present a handful of titles that you can review.

  • Review and Edit the available titles.

  • Clicking Generate New Titles will generate all new titles.

  • All title fields are editable.

  • You can use the Write Your Own button to author one from scratch.

  • Once you have a title you like, select it and click Generate Outline to proceed.

Review Title, Introduction, and Outline

Blaze will now return a title and introduction. These can be used to get a sense of the video. The introduction text can be edited or regenerated as needed.

  • Clicking Regenerate Intro will have Blaze remove the existing introduction and rewrite it.

  • Scroll down to review the outline.

The outline is enumerated into section with bulleted subtopics. Review and edit these to better align the final output with your desired script. You can also add additional bullets if need.

  • If you are unsatisfied will all of the headers in the outline, clicking Regenerate Headers will regenerate them.

  • Review and edit everything. Once you are satisfied click Generate Script to proceed.

Review and Edit your Script in Blaze Documents

Blaze will use the information provide in the wizard to write your script. Read and review it as necessary.

Alongside standard word-processing tools, Blaze Documents includes AI powered tools that you can use to improve your script.

Improve your Content

The tools in this section will apply globally to your entire document.

They can also be accessed by clicking the AI text bar at the bottom of the screen.

You can focus these tools to specific areas in your document by highlighting text and clicking inside of the AI text bar the pops up near the highlighted text.

Exporting your Script

Once you are happy with your script you can export it as a PDF.

  • Click the ellipsis (...)

  • Click Export

  • Click select File Type Type

  • Now select PDF

  • Select your desired PDF paper size

  • Click Generate PDF
