What is a Blaze credit?
Blaze uses usage-based pricing in the form of credits to allow users to create various forms of content in your workspace.
This allows Blaze to integrate with the best LLM and AI tools and gives you control over the quality and quantity of content you want in your marketing.
Every Blaze plan includes a set amount of credits that are included in your subscription. Credits are tied to the workspace subscription, not individual users. Any member of the workspace can use available credits..
See your billing page or the public pricing page for how many credits your subscription includes.
How are credits used?
Credits are used for initial generations and regenerations, including those automatically performed by Blaze and user-requested actions.
Content Type | Credit Cost |
Regular Content (Social Media, Blog & Email that uses BrandKit or Stock Imagery Assets) | 1 |
AI-Generated Images | 3 |
AI-Generated Videos (coming soon) | 40 |
AI-Managed Ads | 10 |
Notes:
Rewrites or edits inside the editor do not consume credits.
Content that is cross posted only uses 1 credit as there is only one generation.
Content that fails to generate (error is displayed) does not use any credits.
Managing Credits
You can monitor your usage of credits in the Billing & Usage Settings. You can see how many credits you have used, your amount of unused credits, and the date when your credits reset.
Your available credits also appear in the content creation tools throughout Blaze.
Unused credits do not roll over. Each billing cycle adds a new set of credits to your account according to your plan.
How to get more credits
You can increase your available credits in two ways: earning or purchasing.
Earn credits by completing eligible actions:
Refer a friend or peer
Integrate external accounts
Attend a Blaze 101 session
Join the Blaze Community
Download the Blaze iOS app
Available earning actions may change at any time.
Purchase additional credits
Additional credits may be purchased in batches of 100 in the Billing & Usage Settings.
Purchased credits follow the same expiration rules as earned credits and do not roll over to future cycles.
Custom packages of credits are only available on the Enterprise plan.
If Your Credit Balance Hits Zero
When your workspace hits zero available credits:
Blaze stops generating content as part of your Content Plan
Manual generations and regenerations are disabled.
Automated features that require new generations will pause until credits are available.
Scheduled content continues posting as long as it does not require new generations.
Current content remains accessible and can be edited, rescheduled, and published
You must earn or purchase additional credits to resume creating new content.
Changing subscriptions
Upgrading
If you upgrade from Free or Pioneer to Starter or Growth:
Your account immediately receives the new plan’s credit allocation
Credits from the previous plan are not carried over
Credit usage resets according to the new billing cycle
Downgrading
If you downgrade to a lower tier, you forfeit any unused credits on that plan and your new subscription plan's credits will be added to your account.
Cancellation
Canceling a subscription forfeits any unused credits.
Your existing content remains available for editing or publishing until the end of your billing period.
FAQ
Will I be automatically charged for overages?
No. Blaze does not auto-charge when you run out of credits. You can choose to purchase extra credits manually.
Do purchased credits expire?
Yes. Purchased credits follow the same cycle as your subscription credits and do not roll over.
Can unused credits be transferred to another workspace?
No. Credits belong to the workspace where they were issued or purchased.
Does generating additional or edits in a blog or email cost additional credits?
No, credits are only used for the initial generation. Any edits within the doc editor do not use credits.
I'm on an annual plan, can I get all my credits upfront?
Credits are added monthly, even for annual subscriptions. Annual billing changes how you pay, not how credits are distributed. Your workspace receives a fresh batch of credits at the start of each monthly cycle.
Is there a limit to how many credits I can earn from referrals?
No. There is no cap on referral-based credits. You can earn credits every time someone signs up through your referral link. See this article for more details on the referral program.
Are credits taxed?
No. Credits are not taxed. The price you see in checkout is the full amount.
