Content Preferences let you control how Blaze generates written content, images, videos, and social posts across your workspace. These settings act as guardrails so every piece of content aligns with your brand, audience, and distribution goals.
You can access Content Preferences from the left-hand navigation. Changes apply to future content generation.
How Content Preferences Work
Each tab focuses on a specific content type. Blaze uses these settings automatically whenever it generates content, whether through Autopilot, campaigns, or manual creation.
Preferences are organized into five tabs:
General
Image
Video
Social Media
Blog & Email
General Preferences
The General tab controls high-level rules that affect all content types.
Stylized Images
Turn professional visual styling on or off for your photos. When enabled, Blaze applies your selected visual style to images it generates.
Content Types and Ratio
Choose which content formats (video, Image or Text) Blaze should generate and how often.
Set percentages to guide the mix of content in your plan.
Select the language Blaze uses for written content.
Words and Concepts to Avoid
Add words, phrases, or concepts Blaze should exclude from generated content.
Tip: If you’ve noticed certain words or phrases that AI tools commonly use but don’t match your brand ("It's not about X, it's about Y"), add them here so Blaze avoids using them in generated content.
Video Preferences
The Video tab defines how Blaze generates and assembles videos.
Video Types
Select supported video formats, including:
Animated product videos
Brand Kit and stock videos
Video Templates
Choose layout styles for videos, such as clean visuals or videos with text overlays.
Brand Kit Video Priority
Decide whether Blaze should favor Brand Kit videos or stock footage:
Only my Brand Kit
We pick the most relevant videos for your content from your Brand Kit only. If you run out of unique video, we'll re-use them. We'll send you email reminders to upload more video when running low. When uploading new video, please wait 1-2 minutes before regenerating content.Brand Kit first
We pick the most relevant videos for your content and only use each Brand Kit video once per batch. We'll send you email reminders to upload more video when running low. When uploading new video, please wait 1-2 minutes before regenerating content.Only stock
We pick the most relevant stock videos for your content. No Brand Kit video will be used.
Reusing Brand Kit Videos
Set rules for reusing Brand Kit videos when content volume exceeds available assets.
Music
Control whether videos include background music when generated.
Video Inclusion in Social Posts
Decide how often videos appear in social content: Always, Sometimes or Never.
Image Preferences
The Image tab controls how Blaze generates and selects images.
Image Templates
Choose which layout styles you prefer, such as:
Image only

Only Brand Kit media

Social Media Preferences
The Social Media tab controls posting behavior, captions, and formatting.
Logo Frequency
Set how often logos appear in social posts.
Never - Don't include any logos in social posts.
Sometimes - Include a logo in some posts. (Approximately 3-5 in every 10 posts)
Always - Include a logo in every post
Call-to-Action Frequency
Define how often Blaze includes links in captions.
Never - Don't include any call-to-action links in social posts
Rarely - Add a call-to-action once in a while (Approximately 1 in every 10 posts)
Sometimes - Include a call-to-action in some posts (Approximately 3-5 in every 10 posts)
Often - Add a call-to-action to most posts (Approximately 6-8 in every 10 posts)
Always - Include a call-to-action in every post
Tip: External links in captions can reduce reach due to social media platforms "penalizing" posts that include links (they don't want users leaving the platform). For best performance, keep this setting on Rarely, and use link stickers or comments instead.
Default Call-to-Action
Customize the link text and destination Blaze uses when adding CTAs. You can choose different call-to-actions for Facebook, LinkedIn, & X (which support links in captions) from Instagram and Youtube Short (which don't support links in captions).
Hashtag Frequency
Choose how often hashtags appear in captions: Never, Sometimes, or Always
Tip: Hashtags can support trends or organize content, but most platforms now prioritize keywords, engagement, and relevance over hashtags for reach.
Hashtag Rules
Specify hashtags to have Blaze always include or avoid.
Blog & Email Preferences
The Blog & Email tab manages long-form content behavior.
Blog Keywords
Add SEO keywords Blaze should target when generating blog content.
External Links
Allow or block external links in blog posts.
External URLs to Avoid
Exclude specific domains from appearing in generated content.
Tip: Put your competitors URLs here to ensure that the AI never recommends or links to them
Call-to-Action Frequency
Control how often links appear in blog posts and emails.
Default Call-to-Action
Set the CTA copy and destination link used across blog and email content.
FAQ
When do changes take effect?
Changes to Content Preferences apply to newly generated content. After making changes to your content preferences, you will be asked if you would like to regenerate your unpublished content so your preferences can take affect.
Can I override Content Preferences for specific posts?
Campaigns are the best way to set content preferences for a select amount of posts.
How often should I update Content Preferences?
Revisiting your preferences once a month is a good rule of thumb, as new preferences are always being added.
What happens if I leave some preferences empty?
Blaze will still generate content using system defaults. Filling out more preferences results in more predictable output.
Can different team members have different preferences?
No. Content Preferences apply to the entire workspace to keep output consistent across collaborators.
