Watch a video that explains what Guest Accounts are.

What are Guest Accounts and How do they work?

Guest accounts are free accounts that have limited access to shared content on paid workspaces inside of Blaze.

Guest accounts are only able to see the content that is shared with them. They are not able to access or create other content in a paid users workspace.

Paid users can limit what a Guest is able to do in the document they are being invited to collaborate on.

Adding a Guest

From inside of your document use the Share for Review tool to send an e-mail invite to others to be invited to your document to review.

Click Edit Access or +Share

Add the e-mail address of the person you wish to invite to collaborate with and click Enter on your keyboard.

Adjust the permissions you would like them to have:

  • Edit - Guest can fully edit the document.

  • Comment - Guest can access and add comments on the document.

  • Read - Guest can only view the content in the document.

Select Guest Account

When prompted, select External Guests.

Then Send Invite

Members that are invited as "Part of your team" will count as an additional user or seat on your plan and may impact your plan.

These users can access your Blaze workspace and use Blaze to generate content.

Guests are invited to set up their account

Your guest will receive an e-mail from Blaze prompting them to create an account.

Guest Users who have never accessed Blaze before will be taken to a Blaze window and asked to provide their Full Name and Create a Password to access their account. Users will only need to do this once.

They will also be provided with some information from Blaze about the limitations of their account.

Managing Guests

To manage all users on a document (including guests), click Share for Review and then Edit Access. A pop up window will show a list of all users that have been invited to the document.

Guests will have the word "Guest" appended to the end of their name/email address. Clicking the permission dropdown menu next to user will reveal a list of options to change their permissions.

Here you can remove them from the document all together.
